Well.....I know that it's been awhile since my last post again. I've just been extremely busy and I have a really hard time finding time to post on here often.

My 27th B-Day was officially on August 2nd, 2008. My wonderful g/f decided to get me a beautiful DVD storage unit to house my DVD collection.

OMJ! I didn't think I would EVER find my way back here. It's been over a month since my last "actual" blog post. Sure, I've had my occasional movie review post here and there, but not a real blog post. And I'm here to please the people. So......here it is!

Let's see......what's been going on for the last month? I'm working on getting my house back in order. Lots of moving and painting. I've pretty much gotten everything moved back into my house. The storage unit was stacked full of boxes and miscellaneous pieces of furniture. It was a lot easier getting it in the storage unit than it was getting it out of there. Then again.....I had a U-Haul when I was putting it in there. I didn't have that luxury this time.

During my treasure hunt in the storage unit I found a brand new Nintendo Wii that I knew I had. I just couldn't get to it. This was my second Wii that I had purchased. So I wasn't in need of it. I still had one that was hooked up at my parents' house. This Wii had been sitting in storage for almost 6 months. Just sitting in the corner. Waiting. I was finally able to get to it and take a look. When I was at a point where I could open the box, what did I find out? The system was missing the remote and the nunchuck. I'm not for sure if this is one of those rare occasions, or if this has happened to anyone else. But I wasn't too happy about it. I still had my receipt from Wal-Mart so off I go for an exchange/refund.

Now, in all my years of dealing with Wal-Mart I've never had a problem when I tried to exchange an item. This would end up being a problem. I was unaware that Wal-Mart had a 90-day return policy (even if the item is incomplete). Has anyone ever heard of this? Did any of the Wal-Mart employees care to tell me about this policy when I bought the Wii? NO!

After some haggling and persuasion, I was able to get them to agree to an exchange. In order to do this I had to wait for their next shipment to come in and see if they had any Wiis on the truck. This was on a Wednesday or Thursday and their trucks came in on Tuesdays. My g/f and I had a few days to come up with our strategy. She was going to be in class and I was going to be working. Luckily my work is only about a mile away from Wal-Mart.

Tuesday rolled around and we found out that the truck had about 12 Wiis on it. So I leave work and speed off to the electronics department of our wonderful Wal-Mart Supercenter. Long story short.......I grabbed myself a Wii and got it exchanged. As I'm leaving the supercenter with my prize under my arm, I give my g/f a call and tell her about the adventure. I put the Wii in my son's carseat on the back passengers' side of my SUV. Try back to work and leave it sitting there for the next 6 hours or so. Drive back to my g/fs dorm after work. Leave it sitting outside over night. Wake up in the morning, and what do I find?

That's right! Someone decided it would be a good idea to break into my car and steal my Wii out of my son's carseat. WTF, mate!?

This is the second time that someone like this has happened to me in the last two months. The first incident was someone/somebodies decided to push over my motorcycle while I was staying at my g/fs. A day before I got my car broken into, I received a call from the mechanic telling me that I was able to pick up my bike whenever I was ready. The weekend came and this is what I received:

I can't really think of anything else to type/talk/chat about right now. I know that I've gotten some new movies in the last month. That's pretty much a given every week. I can't think of them right now, but I'll try to get them listed on my next post (whenever that may be).

Is It That Time Again Already?

Well....here we go again. It's been almost another week since my last post (I'm starting to see a pattern here). Who would've thought that it would be so hard to find time to post in a blog more than once a week?

Not much has happened since my last post. I've been spending a lot of my time during the week at work trying to soak up the overtime. It's really not all that bad. An extra 30 minutes - hour here and there can really add up quick by the end of the week. I'm going to see how this all plays out. Hopefully I'll be getting a pretty healthy check next payday. If it worked out to my benefit, I'll be doing the same every week for as long as I have to.

I found some time last weekend to get my motorcycle over to the nearest motorcycle dealership. I own a 1992 Honda CBR600F2. This is the same bike that I reported about in my last post. The damage that was done was enough to have it totaled out by my insurance company. I decided to go ahead and keep it along with receiving a check for my loss from the insurance. The money received should be enough to get it back up in running order. Some of the major components that were broken were my right handlebar, front brake lever, and front brake reservoir. These should all get taken care of, along with some minor mechanical issues that I've been meaning to have checked out. The dealership that I drove my bike to doesn't sale Hondas, but they said that they would be able to take care of it. It was the closest dealership to me, and I really didn't trust driving the bike further than I really needed/had to.

Also last weekend, a pretty decent sized group of us decided to head out and catch the newest Marvel movie Iron Man. There were about 12 of us that made the trip. It was a pretty good time, and an awesome movie. You can read my official review here.

Wednesday my buddy Matt and I decided to take a trip during work to get some doughnuts for us and some of our co-workers. Being able to leave work for useless trips like this is just one of the many benefits of working where I do. The trip to the doughnut shop is only about a 6 minute drive there, at the most. Once we got there, I thought that it would be a good idea if we made a list BEFORE we went in there and stood around like a couple of kids in a candy store. You know how it is when you walk in a place like that. You see all of the tasty treats made of dough staring back at you from behind those glass doors, and you lose all train-of-thought about your original reason for going in there.

Our search for a pen was leaving us coming up empty-handed. We had looked everywhere in that car for some sort of writing utensil except for one place. THE GLOVE BOX. I thought, "Who doesn't have a pen or two lying around in the bottom of their glove box?" So....in I went in search of that elusive "maker of marks". My hand made its move to save the day and retrieve what we were looking for. It touched the black handle of the door and grabbed it ever so gently as to not disturb the contents held within. I pulled back with excitement, knowing that our quest was one step closer to being completed. But instead of opening the glove box door what ended up in my hand? THE FREAKIN' HANDLE......THAT'S WHAT!!! As Matt and I are staring at the handle laying on the floor of the car, I'm thinking to myself, "WTF just happened?"

I've opened many of glove boxes in my years of riding in cars. I don't know why in 2005 Ford decided to change a design that has worked for many many years before. Apparently in their 2005 Focus, they decided that pulling on the handle wasn't enough to get into the glove box. They also wanted to have you push a button underneath the handle at the same time. I wish someone would've told me about this before I tried to get in. Maybe a huge sticker on the door would've given me some warning as to what I was getting into? Ford.........you should stick to what has worked flawlessly for many years and stop trying to change the future. Maybe that's why your products suck ass in the first place? Just a thought!

Yesterday (2-16-2008) was my sister's graduation from college. I was supposed to be graduating from the same college too, but decided to opt out of going through the ceremony. The ceremony was fairly nice. I was joined by my mother, father, son, g/f, nephew, and niece. We should've brought something for the kids to occupy themselves with. Had NO idea it would be so hard to keep three kids, all under the age of 8, under control for an hour and a half.

After the ceremony, we headed over to a Japanese Steakhouse (this was my sister's choice). I've never been to a Japanese Steakhouse before and if they're all like the one we went to yesterday, I probably won't be going back for a long time. The chefs put on a pretty good show and the food tasted alright, but it wasn't really worth the price paid. I would much rather just hit up a Chinese Buffet for all I care to eat, and pay under $10.

It's been over a week since my last post (not that anyone really cares). I've been very busy here lately. Trying to get some work done to my house, moving stuff back in to my house, dealing with insurance on my motorcycle (somebody/somebodies pushed over my motorcycle a couple of weeks ago and totaled it. THANKS!!!!), and trying to keep a relationship in order with a very wonderful woman. She's really to only reason that I haven't gone insane through all of this. Thank you very much Gina. The 1st of May has almost come and gone. I figured now would be as good a time as any to post for the day. It'll probably even be the 2nd of May by the time I get through with this entry.

Alright.....so the day went pretty well today. Woke up this morning and headed in to work (just like the previous four days). Work went pretty well today. Treated myself to some free breakfast and pretty much just sat around for most of the day. Did a bit here and there, but not a whole lot going on. However, a few of the guys (all supervisors) that I work with decided to place a bet with their co-workers. If they lost the bet, they all agreed that they would jump/swim in the pond that we have in the back of the building. Well.....they lost the bet and the swimming suits went on.

To commemorate the occassion, they decided to have a party before the "big event". They ordered 4 6' subs from Subway, had some chips, pop, and beers for all to enjoy. I know what you're thinking, "What kind of company lets their employees drink on the job?" The answer to that question: Only the best company in the world! I enjoyed myself some free chips and sandwiches while I was waiting for the insanity to begin. Afterwords, it was back to work as usual.

After work I headed over to my g/fs place and we went to run some errands before she had to go to work. We first headed over to best buy to exchange some movies that I previously purchased and they ended up being damaged. I needed to exchange The Last King of Scotland and Disturbia. The exchange actually went on without any problems. I was a bit surprised, considering that I didn't have a receipt or any form of proof that I had actually purchased them there. After that it was off to the local mall to pick up my reserve for Mario Kart Wii, and to check out some of the other newer titles. I ended up getting Sega Superstar Tennis for the Wii also. I had looked at Sega Superstar Tennis while we were at Best Buy, but they wanted $49.99 for it. I ended up giving only $19.99 for it at Electronic Boutique. After picking up those two games ,we did a little window-shopping for some shoes. My g/f then wanted to head over to Plato's Closet to see if they would buy a couple of articles of clothes from her. After little success there, we headed back to her dorm just in time for her to get to work.

I spent the rest of the night sitting around in her room waiting for her to get off work. Just surfed the net looking for a new motorcycle on Ebay, watched some of the NBA Playoffs, and listened to some more Pandora Radio.

That was pretty much the just of my day.

Sitting here waiting and listening to some Pandora Radio. Just got done adding some old movie reviews to my movie review blog. Check them out right here yo!: My Movie Review Blog. Planning on hitting up the local Wal-Mart soon with my amazing girlfriend to look/pick out some paint colors. I'm hoping that I will be able to paint the two bedrooms, one hallway, and the living room in my house by the middle of next week. I really need to start moving my stuff out of storage and back into my place. It's just so much easier to paint when there's nothing in the way to move. Can't really do anything until the water and electricity get turned back on. That should be within the next couple of days. I'll keep you updated on how that's going. Hopefully everything goes as smooth as possible. Does it ever though? *sigh*

Beaver on I.U. campus?

To start off this morning, what's up with the weather in Indiana? It's only 37 degrees at 7:00 a.m., and it's almost the beginning of May. I think it's true what they say about Indiana weather; "If you don't like the weather in Indiana, just wait 10 minutes."

Then to make matters worse (as if I'm not already confused enough), I saw a beaver just walking around the I.U. campus. Last I knew beavers liked to live in densely forested areas, possibly with some WATER or water-like substance around. I guess I was wrong?
